Just finished it last night...
They went to some places I didn't think was needed. It actually took away from the characters. We shall see in S3.

Haven't gotten to S3 yet. I'm sure it's got some surprises. I hear it's more focused on Clair.

originally made it halfway through S1 - episode 2. started watching again this weekend and made it to episode 4. The wife doesn't exactly feel warm and fuzzy from the Frances character (but who would). I asked her how he's worse than the leads in Breaking Bad, Nurse Jackie, Weeds, etc, etc, etc... Seriously, don't they think they can make a compelling drama anymore without most of the characters being completely despicable people?? I suppose it draws you in like a bad car crash on the side of the road.

We recently started watching it. I don't really watch much television all I knew is that people really got hooked on it just like the series East Wing. (only shows that I watch on a regular basis Big Bang Theory, and The Amazing Race)
It came up as a Netflix suggestion based on us previously watching Suits, which we really enjoyed. After watching a couple of episodes of House of Cards I wasn't so sure that I wanted to use my free time to watch a bunch of politicians lie and cheat. Mentioned this our our son and he encouraged us to stick with it as he said it would get a lot better, and it has.
Next up will be season 1 episode 10 (we basically watch 2 episodes at one sitting)

Great series. I also thought they went a bit over the edge a couple times in season two. Much darker than West Wing... but equally addictive and fresh.
I started binje watching with Breaking Bad... then Orange is the New Black... and then House of cards. Like reading chapters in a book, much prefer reading through over waiting a week for the next episode.
Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are really the only tv shows I watch regularly... and only as reruns, so the sequencing has pretty much escaped me on those.

Big Bang Theory from the get go has remained a house favorite, excellent writing. (I prefer Netflix binge watching it with someone, just more enjoyable to share laughter)
Orange is the New Black was very interesting. Netflix Canada now has some new episodes but we haven't watched them yet.
We actually prefer the BBC productions with Foyle's War being our favorite so far.
Ha-ha a close friend of ours would never answer the phone while The West Wing was on. Maybe one day we will watch it. Mostly I am a reader but got hooked on Netflix when I bought a treadmill and needed to deal with the monotony. When I spot something that I know both Robert and I enjoy I save it for "us time".
