I played at a jam last night and a couple things became apparent to me. A Delta 88 wide open sounds amazing first of all. As long as I was the only guitarist playing, this wasn't an issue , but as soon as I played with another guitarist(with amps that couldn't keep up), I had problems not overpowering them. I'm gonna have to experiment with some pedals to keep my volume lower, so I don't crush any other player that gets on stage.

My ears aren't too bad, but my drummer was sucking pretty bad as the cab was much closer to ear level for him. It was just hitting my legs, so the perceived volume wasn't near as bad for me. The only guy that kept up had a Boogie MKIV, so it wasn't too bad with him, but the guy that had the SS Peavey didn't have a chance, so I had to turn down the guitar except for solos. Of course that made it frustrating when I wanted crunch and got Wind Cries Mary.
