I enjoyed it quite a bit. Great songsmiths and Strat-y jangle. Love that band!

I will definitely have to check this out. It's kind of embarrassing that I never even knew the band existed until recently, but from that promo it sounds like I wasn't alone. Of course I'm certain that there are several other musicians out there from many different eras that I have yet to discover that I might well love. I guess that's why it's important to keep listening to stuff I haven't heard before. Thanks for the head's up!

Yep... Alex Chilton, a musician's musician. A writer's writer. He was influenced by Roger McGuinn among others and in turn, influenced many.
Ironic to me here is that I always thought Alex Chilton and Big Star had an influence on our own Eric Ambel's Del Lords and other bands from that era... I'd be interested if Roscoe would chime in here...
After Alex died in 2010 I remember thinking about the influences passed forward and then I heard of a tribute with bands that Roscoe likes and worked with like the Bottle Rockets and Marshall Krenshaw, The Replacements, Paul Westerberg etc. so it's validated I think. Just my opinion.
