Would the Z28 get me that wonderful Jeff Buckley clean tones or is there another Dr Z that would get me closer? I know that Jeff played Fender Vibroverb RI, but those are hard to come by, and besides, I really dig Dr Z amps.

Have you tried a Fender Vibrolux? In alot of ways, it can get you there to the Buckley tones, and then some. Despite his incredible voice, he was one hell-of-a-guitarist! I am almost tempted to ask if you have tried a MAZ 18 thru a pair of Z 10s ..... with the Z-28 tho' I might ask if you have a good tremolo or 'verb to go with the Z-28 and a pair of Z 10s (keeping in mind that I am not terribly familiar with the Buckley tones, but trying to help with an approximation of the Vibroverb and using 18 to 25 Z watts) Or maybe try to track down a JAZ 20/40 cheers always, Joel
