I'm the new proud owner of a remedy.. I'm looking to get a cabinet of course the ohms of the amp have to match the cabinet but is there any advantage to running a 4 ohm, 8 ohm or 16 ohm or would they all sound about the same providing I'm using the same speaker and matching the Ohms to the head?

They are all gonna sound about the same. Matching head to cab is most important.
That being said some will argue that using the highest rating on the head is optimal. Again, there is virtually no sound difference.
Another way to look at it is versitility. If you are gonna run other heads into your cab you may want to look at what's most common. I don't think I've ever seen an amp without an 8 ohm tap. But I have seen many without 16 ohm taps.
All are things to consider. I'd choose a cab to be versitile. YMMV.

Remember than you can mismatch 1 step 'uphill'; ie. 8ohm amp into 16ohm cab or 4ohm into 8. You may like how it sounds; I usually find a little more breakup and compression along with a mild drop in volume. It's whether you like it or not. Some 2x12 cabs can be wired both ways simultaneously so you can just switch between based on your needs.
