well, i dont want to get politically incorrect here i tried to watch this, and it was very funny at times. for me, as an old guy, the subject matter was a little sordid. ensemble acting by matt damon, michael douglas, rob lowe, as a hilarious eye squinting plastic surgeon, and dan aykroyd,,, it is supposed to be about music, but after one hour in i am almost fried and i dont know if i can finish it. when i grew up liberace was an oddity, somewhat like the catholic bishop fulton j sheen. both equally flamboyant in their apparel, but totally different in subject matter. frankly i am beyond tired of gay movies... . , so i came back and edited this... really sappy ending, typical HBO i guess. overall this gets a C-.... most people nowadays have no idea who liberace was. after seeing this movie, i am not sure anyone would even care. i suppose it has some historical significance, he played 55 sold out shows at radio city music hall, and made his exit flying into the air.. so it goes.
