Howdy Folks,
Newbie here, lurking for a long time.
I bought 2 Zs (brand new) from Fat sound in 2001 (Original RX 212, and a Ghia with a 112 cab). I love these amps and use them exclusively. The RX doesn't get much work any more due to its volume and weight (I am an aging player). Believe it or not, I have been told "turn the ghia down" on many occasions. I like to crank it without any pedals.
I must tell you guys that this is the first (and only) forum I have ever joined. This is also my first post (ever). I love your forum and have learned much from all of you. I thank you. I also thank Doc for being a great guy and building the best amps I have ever owned (and I have owned all makes and models).
I live in the Denver area and these days I mainly play in church. It is a rather large place that seats about 1200. The sound men just love the ghia. I play the same blues-rock licks in church that I used to play in the clubs.
I also used to be the head bouncer at a place in Evergreen, CO called Little Bear from 1983-1991. I was fortunate enough to sit in with many bands. It was during that period that I was dubbed the Guitar Crusher. The name stuck and I even used during a brief stint as a pro-wrestler. I also met Bluzsteel during that period but I don't think he would remember me. He is a great player. Currently, I teach college biology.
Just thought I'd post a few things about myself before I start posting questions in the appropriate sections.
Keep crankin' those Z amps and don't take any guff from any sound men.
