Well I bought a few Weber speaker cabinets. I've been buying weber speakers and their other products over the years. I like their cabinets alot. Simple... they can be open or closed backed. The only thing lacking to me is dress washers. For a few more cents I think it would look better.
Anyways I jut loaded a Weber 2 x 12" cabinet with a 50 Watt Alnico Blue and a 50 Watt Alnico Silver. At first I tried them with the beam blockers, but I seem to like it better without the beam blockers. I do however use the beam blockers in my Maz 18 combos with 10 " speakers and also my combo with 12" speakers with great results!
I also have a Weber 1 x 15 cabinet with a 15" Weber speaker in it. It sounds great with my tweaked Epiphone 5 watt and also with my Carmen Ghia head!! Maz 18 Jr. head also sounds great with this speaker. I'm glad I used the beam blocker with this cabinet, because it completes the sound with the Maz 18 amps in a nice way!
Just wish he used dress washers!
Yeah... the weber cabinets are really nice. Very cost effective too.

How do you like the Blue and Silver together? Seems to be a popular pair.

I was going to get a Weber 2x12 "X" cab (convertible) to go with my RxJr, but now that Doc is making convertible cabs, I'll probably go with one of his when the time comes.

I really REALLY like this combination. So far I've only played it with a Carmen Ghia. I gotta see how it does with my Stang Ray!! I still have to break it in though. I'll post again in a few weeks!

You can buy those cup washers at any good hardware store. I just ordered a Weber 1x15 cab with an alnico blue and a beam blocker. They'll ship at all assembled. I'm going to use it with my Ghia mostly but since it's a 40 watt speaker it'll handle most Z heads. Ted recommended J-L Covers. That's Jimmy and Loie Lewin. Nice people so I guess I'll order that tomorrow.

FYI...I'm pretty sure that Weber cabs are made by Mojo Musical Supply.

I just looked at Weber and Mojo. If they are made by Mojo for Weber I would think there would be some similarites but the sizes and wood are different. I'm not much concerned either way. I just wanted to say what I found out from their sites.
