If the Blue dog is similar to the Celestion Blue, what is the Silver Bell similar to?
I have some credit on account at Guitar Center and want to buy something close to the Silver Bell to go with my Alnico Blue Dog, but I'm not sure what that would be!
Thanks, Jason

As it stands now, Weber has three versions on the classic theme... From brightest to darkest they go like this: Ceramic 30 watt Blue Dog- Lots of chime and a slight mid hump Ceramic 30 watt Silver Bell- Like the Silvers found in late 60's Marshall & Vox cabs. Smooth, broad low end with a slight high-end roll off compared to the Blue. A Dr. Z fave! Ceramic 1225- Smaller magnet, warm & woody..This would be the "default" G12M-25 like what Celestion is making today

To bad Doc isn't putting Webers in his cabs...I think I would go for one of those over a Celestion. Made in the US and a better price.

I think the Doc will put whatever you want in a cab for a slight upcharge if the speaker is more pricy then the stock one was. And ... I think Z and Weber have a great relationship so that should not be a big deal to make happen if somebody was interested.

I don't think you'll find anything terribly similar to the AlNiCo Silver Bell at GC. Closest probably would be a regular G12M Greenback, but it's really not that close actually.
