After reading a thread on the Gear Page about the Port City Wave 2X12, I decided to buy a PC Wave 1X12. It's perfectly sized for the Z heads (I use it with a Route 66). It features a de-tuned front port that runs across the bottom of the cab. It's design goal is to capture and project sounds waves that would normally reflect around the inside of a closed back cab. It accomplishes this with a couple of angled ramps that focus the standing waves out the front port. They are not cheap, but the quality is first rate. Mine is loaded with a Vintage 30 right now. It sort of sounds like my Marshall 1960AX. Very tight, punchy, and loud. I intend to try a few other speakers with it in the next few days. One reviewer preferred the Celestion Heritage G12-65 with the PC Wave 2X12. I may give that speaker a try as well and I'll report my findings. Anyone else try one of these cabs?

I have 2 of them and love em ! I have one loaded with an EVM12L and use with a FUCHS ODS 30 head... killer. Another loaded with an emi RWB w/ the Fuchs or Fargen BB 20. Great cabs. Tight, punchy, great low end for such a small cab.
