Hey guys (and girls?)! Does anyone know what the grill cloth dr z uses is called that has gold and black checks instead of white and black checks. I know the white and black is salt/pepper but I've never heard anyone refer to the gold/black. I just bought a maz18 with this color and would like to order a cab to match but don't know what to call it? If you don't know what I'm talking about, look at the pic of the mini-z on z's site. Also, I see that avatar is now offering a cloth that looks like the same stuff (on my computer screen anyway). Has anyone been able to compare the z cloth to the avatar cloth? Thanks.

I call it Black and Tan. I ordered a Maz Jr head with "a Black and Tan grille cloth face plate to match my Blonde Z-Best with Black and Tan grille cloth" and indeed it did arrive with a match. I have bugged Brent to post about the options but have seen nothing official yet. I think what I have looks like the Gold and Black weave here -> tone-tools.com/grillecloth.html but web color can be fuzzy.

Thanks kc! I must have had my head up the ol' wazoo on that one. I even looked around on the site before I made that post! I'll blame it on the lack of sleep I've had as of late thanks to my 2 month old daughter.

I can't really tell if I have brown or tan on my Stang by those colors...
I'm pretty sure it's Tan. I love it!

That page is new. I do not know whether it is the delta between a Mac and a PC gamma or what, but those colors on my Apple display are way off from the real thing sitting nearby. The colors on the web are dull and darker, especially the Blonde.
