Hi All, Just want to give you a heads up on Weber re-coning my Celestion G12H. I tore the cone from my Maz Jr while trying to remove the speaker to add a beam blocker. I sent the speaker to Weber. I requested the re-cone to be identical to the original G12H (not the Anniversary model) and increase power handling. Ted said he used a heavier voice coil and a "Pre Rola" cone. The Speaker is now rated @ 50 watts RMS. Wow! The re-cone sounds so much better. I can hear a big improvement in either my Maz Jr or Sr. Thanks Ted! Rick

This tells me that Z needs to design a signature 12" with Weber.

Billy, Your so right. It would be amazing if they collaborated on the new Z-12. Rick

I was thinking G12H, but I'm now thinking of going the Weber route. I'd be using it in a 1x12 cab with a Maz. jr.

95strat, Compared to the 30 Watt 8 ohm G12H "anniversary", I am hearing a very "balanced' eq. In addition, the cone break up is much later. The highs are clear, mids are not forward and can be dialed in; the bass is not overbearing and can be dialed in. Perhaps I am hearing more of the amp (Maz Sr), more harmonic content of the guitar, and less speaker coloration. I really like what I am hearing. BTW, Ted can recone the speaker with your choice of power handling voice coil (30 Watt, 50 watt, etc). thanks! Rick

Thanks for the feed back Rick! I believe it's between the G12H and the Silver...now I have to decide!
