A purely cosmetic inquiry...I have a Z28 head in a blonde tolex/ oxblood grill...I picked up a z-best cab for it in blonde as well...when I got it home I noticed the tolex on the cab was much more brown/ blonde...it was not really even a close match...is this variance common? I also have a blonde Dual Professional and that tolex is the same as the Z head...

I had a blonde 66 and 2/12 cab(well, I still have the cab) and there was a slight variance in their colors as well.

I bought RC's 66 head. Next to my other blonde Zs this definitely has a pinkish tint to it, doesn't bother me though. My Maz 38 combo even has a different color blonde on the front panel compared to the rest of the amp. Again, I'm fine with it.

Ah but the blondes are by far the prettiest. Funny, I prefer dark haired women but blonde amps. The blonde Fenders are my faves too. I have a '61 Bassman with the matching 1x12 tone ring cab that's in very nice shape. I also have a '62 or '63 set but has the heaviest black paint all over it that I've ever seen! Someday I'll have it recovered.
