Anybody know if this is OK? I have a 2006 model with 4 & 8 ohm taps. I've got a nice old 16ohm Celestion 80 that I'd like to stick in a 1X12 cab to use with the ghia but I want to make sure it's OK first.
Gracias,
Johnny

You might search the Carmen Ghia section. Generally speaking you would lose a little power because of the mismatch and it's generally thought of as harder on the output tubes. and would make them wear out quicker. I can't specifically speak to the Ghia's design and reaction to this mismatch.

Gracias, Johnny Sure, just plug it into your 8ohm jack, u be goot to go...I've been using my Marshall 16ohm 4x12 and a 16 ohm Tone Tubby JBL 130/15 for quite a while now with no ill effects, except, like Billy said, there IS a slight power drop..Instead of running your vol @ 9/11, you may have to run it @ 10/12... BTW...PM sent...
