What speaker are folks using in their 1x12 combos or cabs for a good "all around" speaker. I'll be using it with a Maz Jr, Rt 66 and Z-28 to cover blues, jazz, funk, rock. I have a weber ceramic blue dog and a swamp thang, which both sound pretty cool (each in their own way) - what's your favorite all around 1x12 and why? thanks in advance.

I'm quite happy with a Blue in my little 1x12.

If I had to pick only one, probably a greenback. Good all around sound and it gives up the goods pretty early. I'm a little worried about it with a full blasting Route 66. I have a 1x12 loaded with a greenback, but I use it for rehearsals and practicing...where I attenuate. For gigs I use a 1x12 loaded with a V30.
But I do know the greenback lacks a bit of bass.

...my new fave is a Scumback HP75LDC.....its rated for high power (large ceramic magnet) but its not all that efficient and doesn't have massive headroom..... breaks up at just the right volume for me...the LDC stands for large dust cap which smooths out the highs and eliminates cone cry...i find that using this speaker i can set the controls on my amps and guitars to dial in the tone i want rather than trying to eq the speaker....if that makes any sense!! ....
