Anyone know which speakers come standard in current Z-Best cabs? I've seen numerous threads with Greenbacks, G12H, and/or V30's in them.

I don't own a Z-Best, but I did play one a little over a month ago at my dealer. It had one Vintage 30 and one G12H in it. I still believe that is standard, though don't quote me on that.

Yup, the standard setup is a Vintage 30 and a G12H.

That's correct sir. A friend of mine put a Emi Swamp Thang and Wizard in his Z-Best and it sounds VERY nice.

That's correct sir. A friend of mine put a Emi Swamp Thang and Wizard in his Z-Best and it sounds VERY nice. That's funny, because I thought about trying that exact setup at some point with the Z-Best. From Tomo's new soundclips on the Emi page, the highs of the Wizard sound like a great match to the bass response of the Swamp Thang.

Yeah, it really is a nice match and gives the cab a lot of headroom. Turns it into a 150 watt cab. I think I'm going to try it with my Z-Best actually. The combination sounds really good clean and with gain it can really move air. The best part is the Emi's don't cost an arm and a leg like some other speakers do. And a lot of people feel that the Emi's are just as good if not better than Celestions. Hey, congrat's on the SRZ 65, it looks great!
