Has anyone used an isolation riser with there Z-Best 2X12 Cab? I am looking at one from Auralex called the Gramma. There is a Z-Best cab on the bay right now (item # 120060777228) that is selling with one of these. I'm just wondering if they make a difference and if anyone has had any experience with them, before I shell out 50 bucks to "try" one. [glow=LimeGreen,2,300]J[/glow]

The Gramma is useful and well built. If you play on wood floors, they really help to isolate the amp.
You should make or buy some sort of bag to carry it in, the bottom is foam and can get torn up when you lug it around.

The GRAMMA is very cool. It decouples the amp from the floor, and cleans up the muddy bass that just gets in the way anyway, very cool product. Kind of fragile as mentioned so take care.

In addition to the awesome sonic benefits, the Gramma also provides the tubes in my RXES with some vibration protection from poorly constructed stages.
Like you, I was hesitant at first to plop down the cash for this simple device made of carpet-covered MDF and foam. However, I was able to twist the mechanical arm of a Robosalesbot at Guitar Center, and bought one new in the box for $40 including tax. This was about 15 months ago, so the deal may not be as good now.

I have one and Bluezsteel has one. Getting the Z-Best off the floor took some of the bass out. I"ll most definately use it live.
Didn't like it as much with my 1x12 Ghia. The open back 1x12 Ghia needs to sit on the floor to get the base. I'll probably do one of those stand-back things for it.
