just ordered my first dr. z!!!! Monza head with master volume. totally stoked to get the amp, ordered from humbucker musicI think it was the last head they had in stock. Now some important decisions to make, I have an old cabinet that I built out of an old oak dresser, I have some 12 inch private jack and a cannibus rex speakers, both 16 ohms, which one will sound better, the cannibus is definately darker but I love the jack as well, we'll see. I'll be running through an exotic ep 1. Has any one tried any of this gear with the monza and how did it work? Also, I don't seem to be able to order any accessories off of the z web site has anyone had this trouble? Do I need something special for the computer ? Anyway, I've had a lot of amps, over the last 25 years of playin but this is the first one that's truly point to point hand built, so I'm looking forward to cranking it up.

Blueboy,
Welcome and congrats on the MONZA!! You have a truly professional piece of gear heading your way.
I can't offer help on which speaker will sound better. Between the two you mention, I have only had experience with a CRex. The Private Jack will probably be more in-your-face rock and roll than the CRex. You'll have to try them both and let us know.
The EP1 is a great choice of boost! I'll bet if you just set up the Monza with a medium aggressive tone, the EP1 will be able to serve as a perfect solo boost. The rest can all be in your volume and tone controls on the guitar and you should be able to cover a lot of ground.
Not sure about the accessories section of the Dr. Z site. Maybe it was just down for a bit? You should be able to contact the shop via email and work that out.
Enjoy that amp! Eddie

I second the choice of the ep booster. The amp itself makes my fuzz mxr108 completely unnecessary. Speakers i have only tried the 10 red fang and a 12 in. celestion 70 ann in closed back cab. Sounds good with both.

Ok so I've spend a few days with this little monster, it sustains like crazy, I 've never had an amp that could sustain like this one at lower volumes. Od's and distortion pedals are useless, the amp has the perfect lead tone, I'm using an oak cabinet open back with no tolex so it bright, the cannibus rex mellows the amp out nicely, it's gonna stay. Still working out the best way to use the ep booster, I really like it just barely working, just hittin the front of the amp a little bit. Much thanks and respect to Dr. Z this badazz little amp is money well spent.
