No. But I do have Weber Alnico Thames {two 8 ohms in series with no doping} (these are Weber's replacements for old Grey Frame Fanes). I love them with my 6545. Great speaker. If they are anything like the originals then I would say that the Fanes woudl be great too.

I know that FANE does have Alnico's, at least they are present in their current catalog. They make a high power alnico 12". It is currently used by folks like Kendrick (sp?). I do not know about the old Fanes much, except that I like what I heard tone wise. I do not like ceramic speakers much so I went with Alnico on the Webers.

I've always wondered at what point volume wise, the alnico starts having an effect?
