Hi Guys, I'm replacing my Weber Blue Dog/Silver Bell combo in my Z best with the standard V30/H30 setup. In general, where does Z put the V30? Does he put it on the side with the rubber feet so it is on the bottom when it stands up or vice versa? I'm leaning towards putting it on the bottom. I don't want to pull the back off of my other Z Best to look, I like the fact it is factory sealed ;D
On another note, the Weber's that are coming out are for sale. Only 3 months old, barely played on. E-mail me for info if you like.
Thanks, Scott

Mine, if you look at it with the cab in the vertical position, the V-30 is on top. Which makes sense to me, ie. the speaker with more top end and mid bark is above the speaker with more bottom end. I doubt it would be a critical difference tho in sound if you rerversed them, just seems right to have the speak with more bottom close to the stage floor, to me.

Yep, my zbest had the G12H30 on the bottom too. Probably due to the low end response of the G12H being a little better.

Well.. I ended up going with Private Jacks in mine but I honestly have to say that mic'd up I love the sound of a V30. It seems to sit very well in the mix to my ears.

Scott - I'm curious why you're switching from the Webers back to the Celestion stock setup. I was actually considering going the other way - putting the ceramic blue dog/silver bell in my Z Best in place of the celestions. Any info/feedback appreciated

beej - When I a/b'd my stock Z Best against my Weber loaded Best, the Weber's definately sound a lot smoother, especially on the high end. They also have a way different bottom end. To me the Weber's grind way better, not as spongy feeling. The real reason why I switched speaks was so I could have two 8 ohm cabs to run in parallel with my Route 66 and my RockyTop 45H and I didn't have an extra $200 plus shipping for more Weber's. The Weber's definately weigh a lot more than the Celestions, which tells me they are more heavy duty and have bigger mags. Great speakers, these are my 3rd set of 50 watt ceramic Blue Dog/Silver Bells. They are boxed up now though and ready to ship (p.m. me)

Just to confirm previous advice, the V30 is on top in mine too.
Cheers, Blair
