Hey Guys!
Today I discovered a really cool thing:
The last years I used to have the CUT knob at 9 o clock, max 11 o clock and the TREBLE at around noon. Today I played with TREBLE at max 9 o clock and the CUT on max! What a sound!!
Seems like it's different high freqs than rolling up the TREBLE!
Have you experienced the same??
Frank

Opening up the cut always sounds lively to me. All for it!

While probably not true technically, I think of Treble as a preamp control and Cut as a special tone knob for the EL84s.

My MAZ CUT is always at LEAST half-way up, sometimes more. I pretty much use it the same way I did the Presence control on my old Marshall.

Just tried your cut control suggestion with my MAZ18. Pretty eye opening. I think I'm going to keep it there for quite a while.
Thanks!

I am going to give this a try as well. The CUT knob is extremely useful for adjusting top end for various guitars. Once I have the EQ set, I typically only have to adjust the CUT when switching between guitars. I enjoy seeing the various settings that other Maz38 users are utilizing. Thanks for sharing.
