I just purchased an Eminence Texas Heat to replace a damaged Celestion 90 watt speaker in my Mesa 3/4 back 2x12 cabinet. Any recommendations on a good complimentary Eminence that would sound different from the Heat and fill in whatever frequency gaps or shortcomings that the Heat has? I'm playing a Ghia or Maz 38 head int these speakers, so I'm looking for big, clean, and efficient, unless a lower powered speaker would do the trick of giving me the tone I want. Any thoughts, anyone?

I have not actually paired a speaker with my Tx Heat,..BUT I have a/bed several and runn them parallel in seperate cabs and all over rode the Tx Heat with it's 99Db rating. I really like my Tx Heat but be sure and get something with the same Dg, a Greenback is close I think.
My V-30,s, Weber alnico 30 watt blue dog, and a G-12-H all drowned out the heat. Most the Emi's have 101-103 Db ratings and are LOUD.

The remaining Celestion DOES seem too loud in comparison... I may put a Wizard or another Heat in to replace it...

I've got a few thoughts on it. Eminence has a couple speakers right around that 100 dB range... I just want something that will fill out anything missing in the Heat's sound... But if push comes to sove, I just want something loud that isn't as dark as the big metal directed Celestions...

I have 2 Heats in my Z Best and love the pair better than any other speakers I've tried. What more could you want

This is what Stratdev recommended I do when I bought his Z Best recently: install the Heats for a terrific American tone. So far I've paired them in the Mesa 3/4 back I have and have not yet taken it out at playing volume. The TH I already had installed was miked last weekend for an outdoor show and sounded very sweet. Two will probably be even better. For now the Blue and the 12H30 will stay in the Z while I weigh my options...
