We performed at a new, for us, place last night. First time that I've used the JAZ indoors at a gig. It sounded great as expected. One thing I especially liked was that I didn't need a Brake Lite to keep the volume at a very reasonable level. (The amp was set for a clean sound. Pedals used for dirt.)
Tomorrow is our annual appearance at a fall festival in the open air. The sponsors provide a sound guy, so I'll probably just push the Master up a bit to get a little more oomph.
It's a mystery to me why this amp wasn't a bigger seller for Dr Z. It may have seemed a little expensive at the time, I suppose.

Maybe it was the oval valance Mike. Who knows, the same could be said about the Galaxie. Good luck with your gig.

Thanks, tom.
Perhaps it was the oval opening, perhaps the "name" as some have opined.
As an historical note: The Gal had a longer run I believe. Released in 2007 and was still in the line after the JAZ, which was a 2009 release, was discontinued.

Very cool, Mike. Glad you were digging the JAZ. Such a cool amp! (I am a tremolo junkie - lol! )
My (perhaps wrong) theory on the JAZ is that some folks thought is was a jazz amp meant for clean only. It took a long time for the guitar-playing public to catch on that Z amps weren't just for country players!
Best, Eddie

I picked my 2x10 from Guitar Center for under $1,000 - Really love it!

I like the oval front cabinet. My converted combo cab is now the speaker cab for my JAZ head so both of them have the oval grill. People have commented that it looks cool and unique. It really stands out on stage midst all those other rectangular boxes.

Thumbs up for the Jaz
Gigged yesterday with my Jaz and z 4x10 cab. Love the clean tone,ac booster for dirt/overdrive. I gave up the Remedy with 1x12 gold, just to loud. Even live unmikked. Make a trade with the Jaz

Played outdoors yesterday. Beautiful weather and large crowd.
I ran the JAZ at full power. It sounded so good and the tone got compliments from passersby.

Congrats on your gigs Mike!
It's too bad it didn't catch on because alot of people missed a great amp. I love mine.
