I'm sure this is a simple question, but I wanted to double check.
I just picked up an Ampeg B15N head which is rated around 25-30 watts. At the moment the only 8 ohm cab I got is a 2x12 with 30w Weber Silver Bells (it is, coincidentally, a very bassy cab). I wanted to crank up the amp to get a feel for it's crunchiness, but I don't want to blow the speakers. By the numbers it should be ok, I just worry that the extra bass and subbass frequencies will stress the speakers too much. So my solution is to attenuate it with the Air Brake.
Thoughts?

The two 30W Weber speakers should be fine. Even so, they probably won't even reproduce the frequencies you are worried about.
