Hey all, I bought an amp switcher so I could test out the M12 and Stang Ray side by side to see how it sounds...well, you guessed it...It sounds AWESOME!!! I told my singer I was bringing both amps to the gig Friday, and he said "Isn't one amp enough?" Lol I love using the Ray for clean and switching to the M12 for overdrive. Put them on at the same time and you get super thick tone with awesome sustain!! These two amps are in the top five Z amps, in my opinion. I can't wait to play both this Friday!!
Peace,
Jason

I'm going to have to try this Jason. First thing tomorrow... Good luck Friday, should be a sweet set-up. The M12 is amazing, but then again - the Stang Ray was here first. Talk about the bar being set kind of high.

Who needs singers anyways? They're just filler between guitar solos.

The M12 and Stang Ray sounded awesome next to each other Friday night! I mainly kept both amps on for a much fuller stereo type sound. I will definitely use that setup again! Last night I used the M12 only and it just plain ROCKED!! I had 2 people come up to me and ask me what kind of amp it was. They couldn't believe it was only 12 watts! My pedals sound so sweet through it! I'll post a pic from last night.
Peace, Jason

I finally had time this morning to play an hour or two with both together. You are SO right, it's fantastic. I have two boards up & running, so I'm going to try that next. Each amp with it's own set of pedals.

How does the M12 sound with 2x10's? I'd love to have to pedalboard setups but my Fiance would kill me! Lol

The 2x10 Golds sound really nice with the M12. Maybe not quite as bright when new as a 12" Gold is (new). Maybe the lower sensitivity of the 10" (98 db) is what I'm noticing. Very close, and both sound great. I like the M12 w/pedals more through the 2x10 w/Golds than with the 1x12 Gold. Again, very close and just personal taste. Both just keep getting better sounding, each time they get used.
**the 10" Golds are Great with the RAY**
