Yeah, the guy is probably selling it because he broke his toe when the piece of finish fell off and fell on his toe But seriosly, can you imagine trying to sand that off! Keith

That's got to effect a guitars vibe . That is not a finish when it's that thick

I've got a Japanese Les Paul copy "Burny" with a thick finish like that. It sounds great, love the guitar. Kinda makes you wonder.......

Never seen anything like that before. Don't know what to say expect why use wood when you can make a finish that thick.

A lot of the Poly finishes that come from Japan are quite thick as well as the Mexican offerings. I stripped a Mex strat body to see what was underneath and it was a challenge. The thick finish will darken er up if ya need it.
