I bought a project guitar a few years back for 79.00. It was an old Ibanez early 80s Musician. It wa a copy of the Alembic Wolf built for Jerry Garcia in 1976. Anyways, I've always wanted to fix it up and get it looking good (the controls area had lots of holes for switches and it was cracked.) A friend of mine works in a wood shop that makes wood "gifts" and ornamental stuff and he has a laser tool... so I asked him if we could copy the "wolf logo" using different natural colored wood and it came out great. He also made up a headstock emblem and a truss cover! It came out nicely for what was once something unusable. Now I am using it to try to learn open tuning slide. Check it out! I talked him into making me a clear pickguard for my Warmoth Tele.

There's that fancy wood layering stuff again like over in the custom Z fronts thread. Very nice. It has a nice solid look to it.

Man...great job on the Wolf. Looks excellent!! I always loved that guitar. Hope you enjoy it! Someone out there would probably pay some cabbage to have a Jerry wolf look alike!
