Anyone have feedback on the Rio Grande pickups? Especially the ones for the ASAT's? They seem to be the only pu company that makes a replacement for the ASAT. I've used the Fralins on my strat and they are great but Fralin doesn't make ASAT either.

Rio Grande pickups are very good quility and sound really good. I have used them in my Teles and Strats for years. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Which ones have you tried? RG recommended a muy grande bridge with a vintage tallboy neck.

About 7 years ago I had a handbuilt custom made from scatch Strat by James Raja guitars. It was a mahagany body with a highly figured maple/rosewood neck, he installed the Rio Grande Tallboy in neck and Muy grande in bridge. Very good quality and great soundind pickups. I've never heard them in other guitars, but this one sounded very special to me . Good overall balance of tone, good bass, treble, mids.

For Teles I use the Muy Grande Tele set, Now for a strat I like the duo calibrated set which is a Muy Grande in the bridge, Halfbreed in the center and a Vintage Tallboy in the neck,Great sounding combonation!

Do a forum search, there's been several threads on Rio Grandes.
I've used a Muy Grande Tele bridge for years, love it.

I have a set of vintage tallboys in my partscaster that have been in there for about three years now. I think they're great. Nice vintage tone and they're not overpriced.

+1 on not being over priced! Bart and Dave are pretty good at building pickups and really don't get enough recognition. Great sounding pickups!
