Hey guys, just in case you might be interested... I play guitar with Dani Wilde, a blues/soul/pop artist here in the UK. Her new single, "r u sweet on me" is due to be released on August 13th 2012. Here is the link to the official video, which is playlisted for MTV. You can see me and my red JAZ 20/40 head and 4x10 Z cab on the video...who knows...maybe the JAZ will be famous!! The single will be available worldwide from iTunes etc.
Yep. I play a show where we do a lot of '60's Motown and also stuff from the girl groups like the Shirelles. The JAZ really nails that sound. I'd probably use my Twin Reverb or my Vibrolux Reverb for those but I don't trust a 47 year-old amp. Mine is a head with a 2x10 cabinet. I have another 2x10 that I can use also but have not needed it.
Do you ever use the 20 watt side? What pedals are you using? I like the video. It looks like it's a fun group. The JAZ is almost as pretty as the ladies.
CS Relic Nocaster w/Warmoth neck,custom Strat,custom humbucker Tele,Italia Rimini 12-string,Jazzmaster w/Lollars,SG Std P-90,'64 Silvertone Dano, Martin D-42 Koa,& a "fiddle"
RED MAZ 8 combo w/Scumback,'65 Ampeg Gemini 1,'68 Vibrolux Reverb,'77 Princeton Rev,'79 Orange Hustler,'75 Traynor YGM-3,Silvertone 1457.
Yes, Doctorice, you were dreaming...only the red one is in the video! I would kill for a Z-Wreck to go alongside the JAZ, but I really can't afford one...maybe one day I'll get famous enough to be able to get one...hehe, fingers crossed!! I do use the 20W setting quite a lot, actually more than the 40W setting, especially in this setup...the guitar was recorded with the 20W setting on this song. Pedal wise, on this song I didn't use any pedals...only to press some for the video shoot I use a Roland Space Echo pedal, a Bud-Wah and a few different overdrives, namely my favourites being some handbuilt ones made by Lovemuffin Pedals here in the UK. FANTASTIC pedals and GREAT value! Google them...
GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Arggh! We had it on the calendar to stop out and see you but got caught up with holiday stuff. I could have met you & Frank & my wife could have connected with her friend from back in grade school. You snooze you lose. The FB videos sound great!

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
