I can't understand how dumb I get sometimes . I've owned this Fender Strat o sonic for a while now and just noticed today it had a push button in the volume knob to split the coils . I must be losing it !! ;D Sounds pretty good btw

The other thing that gets me is remembering a common name of a person or product . I was talking about movies/actors the other night and I could not think of Nicolas Cage when I wanted to , my mind could not find his name at that moment . I have this happen other times too although I usually remember some time later long after the converstion has moved on or is over

Recall is getting noticeably more difficult in my world too. I heard recently, as we age the brain's ability to process new learning remains pretty good, but recalling data becomes more and more problematic.

I can believe that. I recently ran into a guy that I've known for thirty years but hadn't seen in about 10. I was blank. Luckily I was talking to another guy and I said do you know so 'n so. He said no and introduced himself to my other friend. I was afraid I was going to be mortified because I couldn't recall his name! This kind of thing is happening more frequently as I ungraciously age. Don't laugh you young guys! It'll happen to you too! Just like going grey, needing bifocals and getting fat. We were once the young virile stud muffins too!

Actually I'm much better now with the wimmens than I used to be. The problem is I don't have near as much drive any more. Ironic.

I actually heard from a leadership trainer last week (was that last week?) that 60 is the new middle age, so turning 53 soon isn't such a drag. However I thought it was easy for him to say since he had a full head of hair.
My inspiration is to watch guys like Clapton and Carlton playing better than ever. So I have a few more good jamming years ahead.
They also say that as you age you have the privilege of making new friends every day! ;D

You know when I was younger I used to rock and roll all day and party every night. And then it was every other day. And now it's hardly ever. ( DOH! Homer Simpson quote. )

Better for your hair to turn gray than to turn loose, I say.
