Since becoming a Tele convert about three years ago my poor MIJ 50's Strat has been functioning as a very effective dust collector. Lately I've had a hankering to start using it again, but I'm used to that nice fat Tele bridge pickup.
I'm aware of the Duncan Twangbanger, but I'm also curious to know what you all have been using for hotter bridge pickups. Any of the single coil sized humbuckers any good? What's cool?

I have two Strats an Eric Johnson and an MIA Deluxe with Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots. Both of these guitars really sound good, no complaints. I can't say how hot they are, I would like to compare them with an SP43 like Shannon uses on his...that is before he became an LP convert thanks to Curt ;D.

I love the SP43. It's a monster. You'll get to try it out Stan. I'll be in your town in November and I'm going to try to get up with you.

Doesn't Rio Grande make a Stele bridge pickup for Strats. Basically a Strat pickup with a plate on the bottom like a Tele. Or is that Fralin?

My Fralin bridge pup has a base plate. I think it adds more bass!?

i used Dimarzio's Red Velvet for a while and liked it. Chopper is also good and SD's Lil59 sounds decent, too, if you want a side by side humbucker for Strats.
