Roger Sadowsky's website has the coolest gig bags! It's $189.00 but looks like it's well worth it. I might have to have one. www.sadowsky.com

Musician's friend has an InCase gig bag that is almost identical but it's $10 more. I drool over the Levy's and Reunion Blues leather bags but $400 is a little steep for a bag. I have a Reunion Blues leather gig bag that I bought 30 years ago for my Travis Bean. The bag held up much better than the guitar! The problem with it is, it's a little too snug on the headstock even though it was supposed to fit a Strat. I think new bags are a little longer.

Check out Godin's gig bag; very tough and inovative in design. Available at Musician's Friend for $70.00. I have 2 which came with my Godin Guitars, very well padded and best of all....it fits in the trunk of my old Miata!

A few years ago at the Dallas Vintage Guitar Show I bought a Pro Bag gig bag. It's south American cowhide. Chris (janinedoubly) calls it the world's ugliest gig bag but I think it's funny. It's not the best made and the fur is wearing off in spots! It was $150. I'm still digging the Sadowsky the most, excluding the expensive leather ones. I also have a nice black leather PRS bag but it seems too short for a Tele type guitar. I bought if for either $20 or $40. I just don't like hard cases. they get scratched up and fall over.

I've had a couple of Levy's but they didn't cost me $400. I have the leather and it's been a couple of years but I'm sure it was under $200. I think the price went up after I bought the last one but it's still not $400. Maybe $275. I can tell you where I got it if you want.

Musician's Friend carries them. I'm still digging the Sadowsky. I have a Levy with kind of a southwest looking pattern of cloth with leather trim. It came with a Les Paul Jr reissue I bought a few years ago at a Dallas show. It's very padded. I'm actually going to switch over to it this weekend.

I like Ritter bags. I got these for $79.00 plus tax. A couple years ago. VERY heavy duty! Lower pocket is also padded. They have easy grab handles on the front and back above the body area. Can fit Les Paul, Strats, Teles and others! They have a larger one for 335s

Billy, Bought 3 of the suede leather Pro Bags at a Philly guitar show for $50. He said they were a made a little small. Fit my strats perfect.

I've heard all sorts of good stuff about these Low End bass gig bags www.thelowend.net/gallery/viewtopic.php?t=2154&sid=4446bf4c91b95a21397781c37f6971e3. Since I do a fair bit of playing both guitar and bass at jams, I'm curious how well one would work with a bass and a guitar. While $250 is expensive, they have been really well reviewed by players, and they look like they're really good quality and well thought out (plus, they get major bonus points for being made here in the good ol' US of A).

Anybody besides Fender make a dual gig bag? Mine's really showing the road wear.

The Low End ones I mentioned above are double bags - they're for bass, but the company pretty much makes 'em to custom order, and they have been known to make modifications or changes for people. Maybe they'd make a guitar double gig bag?
