Uh Oh, I'm gettin' ready to order my RXES jr, called the store and got smashed by some SERIOUS Tele gas... Not saying what or where but I really think I'm gonna have to get it. Never had a Tele before. Quite happy as my Jem 777 as my spare guitar but.... You guys are a bad influence around here. I'll post the pics if I go through with it.

Once you get bit by a tele there is no turning back. Other guitars may come and go but the tele just stays in the lineup.

Well I've calmed down a little. Had a good nights sleep on it. I will definitely get the RXES jr first and then we'll see. I should wait and get a Grosh Tele to go with my Grosh Set Neck. NOTHING will replace the Grosh Set Neck as my #1 A Grosh Tele is a little more money than the one I'm looking at but... There is something VERY cool about this one that I have the perfect application for!

I will warn you Tas as strongly as I can - a Telecaster is extremely habit forming. ;D ;D ;D After I got mine 25 years ago I only use my Les Paul as backup. ( I used to be a "Paul-guy" Cheers: Dixiechicken

I never even considered a tele until joining this forum. Now it's my fav'. When I was younger, I was totally turned off by seeing Bruce Springsteen playing a tele on "Born in the USA", but I was a headbanger back then and had no clue. Nothing sweeter than a tele and a Z!

I've never been too crazy about Tele, but over time and after owning a few of them then I've learned to appreciate. A custom double bindings Tele is my fave.

I've had a number of Tele's over the years, but it wasn't until I got the Grosh Retro Classic VT and the Stingray that I finally "got it." Got it in a big way - those two are the cornerstone of my classic rock rig now.

Ok I'll let the cat out of the bag. For someone who plays in a Police covers band like me it's not a bad choice ;D An Andy Summers Replica

I think what's so nice about the "Teles" is their basic simplicity two knobs one switch. Let's you really concentrate on your playing. Played on many occasions with a friend of mine, nice dude really. But... he could drive you nuts, he was/is forever tinkering with Stompboxes, modelers, it wasn't enough to have just volume and tone controls. It had to be coiltapping, switches, reverse winding splits, humbucking backwards and forwards wiring. Solidstate amplifiers with line in and out of an old radio he had bought real cheap and then miking it out throug the PA-system. He used to produce the weirdest sounds at times but perhaps not so much music. ;D I've told him a hundred times, shut up and play yer guitar - when I tell you to. Cheers: Dixiechicken

A good Tele type guitar is hard to give up for something else. There is an economy of design that is just perfect 1950s industrial design. They also hang great on a strap. I keep looking at those Fender Aerodyne Teles. I love the curve to the top, looks very comfortable, and the P90 at the neck. I just may give myself one for Christmas!
