Just received my package of PCNS cables from forum member Todd. They look fantastic and I won't get them mixed up with anyone else as mine are a gorgeous orange! They were built and delivered promptly and Todd was great to deal with. I ordered 10 patch leads at 9 inches. 2 instrument cable at 10 foot 1 25 foot Microphone cable I'll post a review after the weekends round of gigs.

Wow, just plugged into my Mini Z for a minute to compare the PCNS with my regular old cable. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Didn't realize what a difference a cable could make. Night and day. Audibly clearer, brighter and louder. Bit like putting a new set of strings on after the old ones have done 20 sweaty gigs and are dead. Looking forward to hearing the full rig and vocal!

Which instrument cables did you get...IIRC they have 2 different kinds to choose from. I sure need to break down and get some new cables myself...last weekend I didnt feel like I had enough clarity but as the night progessed we got loud enough that I really wasnt using any of my pedals anyway so I just plugged straight in for the last couple sets and wow, what a difference...all the clarity I was missing was back and it sounded great.

Tas: Either you've got dog ears or your old cables were junk! My ears aren't too bad but I can't reliably tell the difference between Van den Huls and George L's, and that's thru my Stang Ray! I ought to sell the VdHs. They're wasted on me.

The Canare cable I got from PCNS improved my rig dramatically. I could hear a big difference between Monster instrument and speaker cables and the ones from PCNS. I've been told that I have good ears, but I've done the "Pepsi" challenge with a few people and they could hear the difference as well. Todd has good stuff man.

My instument cable was junk I've had since about 1990 and my patch-leads were crap that I pulled out of my rack that I put together in 1988. I'm pretty sure the short instrument cable I've been using was from my expresion pedal to rack as well. I was your quintessential generalization. Expensive guitar, amp, speakers, effects...5 dollar cables. I've never used high end cable before as I always spent the money on something else first.

Hey Fabio, I ordered straight from the site as I'm a little distance away from a dealer or shop also... ;D (about 10 000-15 0000 miles) Billy, I missed that option by about a day! I'm always gonna know which ones are mine anyway as they are Orange

Thanks for the info Taswegian !! I understand I'm not as far as you from the dealer ;D I'll pass an order pretty soon. I think the orange idea is pretty good too, my bandmates will stop pretending all the cables was theirs (lol)

Well, played my regular Sat night gig with the cables tonight. I purposely didn't listen to the cables much this week as I wanted to hear them fresh at my regular Sat night gig. We have been playing here for a long time so I very familiar with how that gig sounds. Well I learned a few things. One was that some of my old patch leads may not have been going down, the input jacks in two of my pedals (Strobostomp) are a bit dodgey. But WOW, what a difference. My effects sounded much crisper and had heaps more clarity. The Tonefactor Hellbilly which has sounded a little muddy just sprung back to life and had a hell grind! ;D Especially with my higher gain lead tones, there was heaps more clarity. It was really fun playing with the tone improvement, and my solo's were heaps more articulate. And I really noticed a nice difference in my vocal sound as well. My wimpy arse vocal can use all the help it can get! So all in all I'm super happy with the purchase. Hopefully they'll last me a long time. Good Stuff PCNS!

Hi Todd ! (I'll send you a PM about that as well)
I'm from Montreal (Canada...) and I've heard such great things from the members here about you're products so I'll pass an order somewhere next week or so. I will verify with a store or two that could very well cary you're products (one in mind in particular). I'll give them you're web site and maybe contact info.
I'll keep you posted !!

Hey Guys, Great report from the gig Jaye. I'm glad you found and fixed some issues you were having. For those who have pedal boards that stay plugged in all the time its a good idea to unplug everything and plug it back in every now and again. This will keep your contacts clean and performing well. Also, be sure to use the coupon code "zamps" if you order from us. (Jaye, I took care of you on your order even though you didn't use the coupon). It will give you a 10% off discount (used to only be 5% and is for forum members ONLY). We also have a rewards program. You recieve reward dollars in your account that are 5% of your order. You can use them to buy cables from our site on future orders. Todd

Todd, I just placed an order for a cable, and as I saw no place to enter the zamps coupon code I just added it to the comments box....is that cool?

Everytime I've ordered, I usually was taken care of my Todd himself and he's a pretty thorough and attention to detail sort of guy. I think he will catch it but if in doubt send another emailed explanation with your order # on it

I just placed an order...hopefully I will see/hear the difference too. I think I'm in the same boat Jaye was in...been using the same cables so long that I dont realize the impact a good new quality cable will make.

Hi guys, The coupon code box is on the top of the page that you select your payment type from. I've been on vacation for a couple of days and will try to enter the coupon code for you KC. If I can't do it because its already been processed I'll think of a way to make it up to you, okay? Todd
