A member of this forum (who shall remain anonymous) recently picked up a choice Gibson, reigniting my gas for a hollow body electric. Long story short, my birthday's coming up and i found this 10 year old Epi 15 minutes cross town. An early B-day present ;D While carrying it out to the truck this dangerous looking crew was eying pretty closely

WOW a stripped down Casino with a Bigsby! A few years back I was asked to add a Bigsby to my friends Casino!! It worked out great!!! That natural one though looks more "Beatles authentic"

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm really enjoying this one. It's giving me some flashbacks of my teenage years when on a whim i picked up a Japanese copy of a ES335. Its a great sounding, affordable guitar.
The build quality is good (for the price) but would in no ways compare to a real Gibson or even a USA made Epi from the sixties for that matter (apparently those Epi's were about as good as the Gib's).
Had it out last night and was surprised at how versatile it is. Covers everything quite nicely with a certain amount of sophistication. When you whack the strings hard you get a this P90 bite which adds rawness for when some attitude or emphasis is required.
Handed over the guitar to a local talented player for several songs and just sat back and enjoyed. This guy's been playing for 40+ years, most of that time using a Gibson 345. FREAKING WOW is the only way to describe what this guitar can do in the hands of a true pro.

Hey Jebus, thanks man. This one's proving to be a lot of fun...She looks good in the living room also (too pretty to leave in in the rec-room). Yea if you ever have the opportunity to try a P90 box, take it. You might be pleasantly surprised. 19jmm68 - you may be onto something ;D Here's another view

Is that the Vox Pathfinder we've been talking about?
Used mine for rehearsal last night....drummer couldn't make it, so it was a low volume rehearsal. I didn't even have to use the extention speaker!

Yuper the Vox 15 Pathfinder. Picked it up for some quieter type jams that I've been frequenting where its primarily acoustic miked at low volumes. Works well for this, but even this little 15 watt solid state with 8" speaker can be a little too much for these at times. Have to use caution to not over power the mix. Love the cleans, but the overdriven sounds are unmistakably solid state sounding; although with the right guitar they are quite usable as long as you don't try too overdrive it too much.
I also use it as my living room amp (she looks at home there) along with my "new to me" living room guitar ;D
