So I was in the local music store today and came across this Orange Tiny Terror. Only got to play it for a few minutes, but it seemed like it would be a cool little practice amp. It was used, and they wanted 400 for it. Class A, two EL-84's and two 12AX7's I think. It had a half power feature, which seemed like it would be cool for recording at home. Cleans were not that great, but the overdrive sounded pretty damn good. Kinda like a Marshall, but a little darker or "smokier" maybe. Played it through a Marshall 2X12. Anyone here try one? It seems like a cool little amp!

400's a good price and if you go to the orange forum there's a store that posts there that sell modded TT's with a slave input so you can run much larger amps with it. It's pretty high on my "to buy" list. I love the tones and the fact it's a cheap tube amp. So what if it's not made in America and it's PCB? I don't really care about that because Orange doesn't let their amps sound bad. I've bought two of their practice amps in the Crush series and they sound good and they're solid state and LOW wattage. I can't say anything bad about them. Not me, but this is the most impressive video I've seen of one.

Cool, thanks for the info! I think when I get a few bucks together I am gonna pick one up. Even brand new, it does seem like a pretty damn good deal. I agree with the "so what if its PCB" attitude. I own a Maz. 18 which is handwired, but I also own a PCB JCM 800 reissue, and to be honest I do not think it suffers because of it. I have played Bogners that sound freakin incredible (Ecstacy and Shiva), and those are PCB amps I believe.

Congrats! I played a TT at a local music store, and it smokes with a humbucker guitar. You're not gonna get any real headroom out of it, but that's not what an amp like that is for. They are great little amps, and sound killer, imo.
A great option until Doc puts the Mini Z back in production!

Heard a salesman in a music shop demo'ing one for a customer and it sounded great. It looks pretty tough in the metal casing. The only thing I don't like about it's PCB construction is it'll be harder to repair.
Orange should make a small cab like a 110 18 or 28 for it to stack on. I can see some band walking on stage with it and a tiny cab, miking it through the PA and blowing everyone away.
