Its MINE!!!!!!!!! And Niether the Dawg nor the 330's gonna EVER end up in the FS section. Why, why, why.......is it that these companies like Gibson cannot recreate the past? I have this conversation with my guitar tech all the time. Is it the factory treatment that kills the mojo of a new guitar? Is it the environment and the fact that this guitar was made from wood that grew and matured 50 years ago? ?? IMO, nothing sounds and feels like an old guitar. Not that ALL vintage pieces are perfect because I've played some Dud's from the past, but, what is it that makes this ES-330 GRowl? I mean the bass is stronger unplugged in this thing than with my es 335 from 1994 plugged in. Not to take anything away from the boutique guys either, but, even the sweetest Lents, shur, grosh or Anderson is missing some "mojo" that a real 54 strat has. ( or whatever the good year is........cuz they are untouchable to me $'wise) I't isn't even about playability or perfection.......I mean this es 330 doesn't play as nicely as the Tom Anderson I sold to get it, however, I'd rather have the Es-330 anyday. Something tooo perfect about the Anderson that made it feel, dare I say, a little sterile compared to the vintage vibe.

Just because of this thread, I've decided to put a set of Fralin P-92s in my Heritage. Ok, I lied, I've been wanting that P-90 sound for aeons, but I'll give you all the credit 19jmm68!

Nice move skydog! I just put frailin p90's in my 56 reissue goldie.
It's taken me a long time and it's been quite a journey to get to this point, but, for me, p-90's are the best all around pickup for rock, jazz and blues. Strat brightness and humbucker fat mids..........
My 330 is getting refretted as we speak! My tech said the playing board was way "not level".
Just FYI, he said that most boards need to be leveled these days and that most of us really don't know what it feels like to play a guitar that has a level playing surface.
I was skeptical at first, but, after he refretted both my custom shop strats, I was a believer.

.......The cost was relatively reasonable. Lets just say it took top dollar sales of my Tom anderson Hollow drop top and my 66 deluxe reverb to break even with this sale.

Thought I would share this with you guys; I think you'll appreciate it. This one's mine. My wife bought it for me when our son was born: I still need to take some proper photos of it. These hardly do it justice.
