O.K. fellas, what are you all using. I have rosewood and cocobolo fretboards I need to care for. I'm seeing positive things said about FretDoctor on the net. Mooretone says to use Lemon Oil. Hamer says to use light mineral oil. What do you guys say? ANything I should definitely stay away from?

Lemon oil is what I've always used but put on and wipe off , don't leave it sit long and soak in , bad for wood if used too much and 1 or 2 times a year is all you need .

Clarinet Bore Oil. It's also a wipe on, wipe off affair.
It's perfect for darker fingerboards, especially ebony, since it was designed for ebony clarinets. It seals and conditions well.

I use lemon oil as well. Saw an ad recently for a product called Lizard Spit. Anyone tried it? www.lizardspit.com

Danish oil. The Godin manual said to us it on ebony and rosewood.

Pennzoil 5W30. Not too heavy, better start ups in winter.

Yea but STP lasts longer and stops your guitar from burning so much oil!
