I'm looking at picking one of the new ones up, 3 PU's with the self contained Parsons system on it. (I would love to order a Crook G Bender but he wont sell in Canada) The Fender model is only available with a B. I would prefer the type that is mounted directly to the wood as I believe it would be better for the tone of the instrument, but that would mean buying a standard Tele and sending it off to Gene for modification (still an option I guess).
Just wondering if anyone is using them and what you think of them?
Thanks !

i've been using a Nocaster with a long-throw Parson/White style. i've used a HipShot, regular P/W and tried McVay bender and Fender's P/G bender as well. the P/G bender equipped Fender Teles are just too heavy for me.

the P/G bender equipped Fender Teles are just too heavy for me. Ditto. And, my guitar wasn't very lively - not resonant at all. Actually sounded/felt like it always had dead strings. Just flat. Think buying the guitar and having it professionally done is the way to go. Ask rcrecelius about it - he's had a few benders (G&B). Might have some suggestions.

I have a Mcvay bender in my tele. It's the lightest guitar I own (just under 7lbs).

I played maybe three of the Fenders that came with a B-bender and I swear they were each pushing 10 pounds.

It would be fun to have one. I just don't know why Fender can't lighten theirs up.

I always wanted one but without the 3rd pickup and minus about 4 pounds. Not asking for much huh. Ive almost ordered one up a time or two myself but backed out at the last minute.Try it and you can always move it if you dont like it.Or better yet.Get it at MF and if after the trial period is over if you arent satisfied exchange it for something else you want instead.Just a thought.
