I had this multi-CD set on my Amazon wish list and noticed that the price had come down quite a bit, so I pulled the trigger. Every album through The Beatles (the white album) in remastered mono, as per the original releases plus stereo mixes of Beatles for Sale and Rubber Soul plus non-album and EP tracks. Packaging replicates the vinyl releases. I'm loading the white album into iTunes currently. The package has miniature versions of all the photos included in the original release. Pretty cool

That's a great set. I usually prefer stereo for those discrete right and left mixes they did but there is something interesting about mono.
It is silly to pick a favorite album, but I would go with "Revolver" if I had to. It marked a pivotal time. The Eastern influence. The reverse tracking. Psychedelic, man. And plenty of timeless McCartney compositions.

The Beatles in stereo were always an adventure. A friend of mine lost a speaker once in his car and you could only hear half of the band. Pretty cool Mike!

Excellent set Mike , I got mine a while back. Hearing it in mono again just sounds right. They did an amazing job with the packaging. Right down to the protective album sleeves! I really dig the album of singles they included.

My wife gave me the stereo box set a couple years back for Xmas. It was really my first introduction to the Beatles Yes, I knew their popular music, but I never owned any of their albums. My buddy has the mono set...I may pick that one up too. It's just a different vibe. Keith
