Heartwoods Wood straps...I think Levy's may have bought them. I have one that is really comfortable and looks good too. Plus, you should hear the tone of all that wood!

I had a little neck/shoulder trouble a while back, and bought this 'suspenders' kinda strap, can't remember the name of it...It actually worked purty good to relieve/remove the stress on the ol' bod, but MAN was it...unlike a guitar strap. Felt like I shoulda been totin' a big bass drum on a football field at halftime or sumpn'. Very unmotivating.

Thats exactly the reason I haven't even gone there. Well maybe after a few more back injuries...

I was going to reply to your "...Wonder if this works" post with, "... Yeah, I'm sure it does-- If you're gigging with the marching band ! Hey, look at Bart's guitar strap, Hah, HAH! Did it come with a free box of tampons? Hah, HAH!" I was worried about maybe hurting your feelings, but I figured that's what they were there for! You know I'm just teasing. Ahh, you can punch me when you meet me, BW.

I think a guitar strap should look like it belongs with you and like it belongs with your guitar. If you can't find a strap that will do that, you bought the wrong guitar, my friend.
I think a player should have a strap for every guitar he plays enough to have it dressed and set up at intervals, meaning the ones "in the rotation", so you don't have to be annoyed by changing the strap every time you want to play a different guitar. If I wasn't clear on this, let me say it this way, "Every guitar on a stand should have it's own strap." The rest of them are your "collection".

Don't let anybody give you wreck about your Lentz. THAT's a sweet bird of a guitar. If you can't stop them and it hurts too bad, just send it my way.
I would think you were serious about punching me, but I know you need those hands to make your living. Hey, don't get any bright ideas... I didn't give you permission to kick me. Then again, no one who kicks me has permission. Oh, well.

Hey, BW! One of my Guitar Diner Forum buds in Austin bought a mink stole at a flea market, and had a leather shop guy take one of the pelts off, and put it on a guitar strap, feet, head, tail and all. It's a hoot! i54.photobucket.com/albums/g107/GeoJ/Austin/Ari0001.jpg?t=1173866431Hope the link works. That's a friend named Ari making fun of it! These guys are part of the Texas Guitar Army, that just had a get-together/jam in Austin during the Austin Guitar Festival. Best, Texas Jim

Man, that's a little scary! Might need a tetanus shot if you snagged one o' them teeth too. Don't let the PETA people see it, you'd never convince 'em it was a flea market find ;^) Its the PERFECT counterpart to that COOL Eastwood git-tar.

I'm a big fan of the Levi straps - they have some really cool stuff and the prices are quite reasonable (tooled leather, suede, rubber tire treads, stamped leather, really fun prints, etc.).
Looking around, I think that's all I have on my guitfiddles sans 1 or 2.

When I was younger I converted my Dad's bullet belt he had in WWII into a guitar strap It was really cool looking. I don't know where it is now. I wish I had it back because it had written on the back all the places he was in Europe during the war and he's not around anymore.

I play in a band part time with a guy that's a prison gaurd on death row (band is Big Yella Mama, named after Alabama's electric chair). He got an old set of shackles and had the prison leather shop put some ends on them. Cool looking strap, but that chain is SO uncomfortable. He uses it on a heavy Nikki Stix bass. He says "It's all for Rock N Roll" when you mention the pain.
