I'm a Strat guy, but sometimes I could use some humbuckers. I'm kinda curious if anyone has tried one of these out. The 700 thin body model looks interesting to me.

Problem with going to a LP when you are mainly a Strat player is they are just way too different with the body style , neck , controls and the smaller scale . The only think I found suited me was a PRS and you can pick up used CE22's for a decent price or I'm sure there are lots of other bucker guitars out there too . You would be wise to give any LP style guitar a good test drive before you buy to see if you really like playing one .

Maybe take a look at some H-S-H configured guitars. I've re-discovered one of mine recently and seem to have problems putting it down. I put a different set of pickups and new switching setup in it and I'm loving it. I get my "vintage-y" Strat sounds/tones and some really nice humbucker sounds/tones, considering it's an Alder bodied guitar.
Btw, I'm a long time humbucker guitar (LP, etc.) player who got into Strats and Teles late in life.
