Since this a place of high end amps (just got mine today BTW), I imagine many of you play high end guitars. I have an American Deluxe Tele, AV62 FSR Strat, MIM 60th Strat and a Reverend Warhawk HB. I don't consider my stuff high end but the American Fenders are pretty sweet I've been playing my Reverend a lot lately and I'm really digging the humbuckers. This has led me to looking at more HH guitars. I can't play Gibsons - they just don't feel right to me. I picked up a Schecter and noodled with it a bit at GC last week and it was a very nice feeling guitar. It sounded great unplugged too - I haven't played one amplified yet. They have several models with Seymour Duncans (instead of the "Duncan Designed") pickups. I really like this one: www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-C1XXX-Electric-Guitar?sku=518481What do you guys think of these? Thanks Jay

I've kinda' been looking at those, too. I've been thinking about getting a guitar that will help me relive my 80's metal days. It will probably be an Ibanez, but the Schecters look interesting.

I had a really nice Ibanez back in the late 80's - what a shredder. Super slim neck and unbelievably low action. I never bonded with it though. Guild was my "pointy-headstock" guitar of choice back then... in fact, I still have it.
I liked the Schecter I picked up because the neck was a little fatter than any Ibanez I've played. Plus - and this is ridiculous, I know - the headstock shape is more "appropriate" for the music I'd be playing LOL.
About my "high end guitar" comments above (just reread my post): I didn't mean I thought Schecter was high end. I was just curious if all you guys played CS Strats, Lentz's, Grosh, etc... or if there might be a few Scecter players out there.

I have a V-7. Wanted a 7-string but didn't want anything 'expensive' (wasn't going to see a lot of use) or "pointy"; and, this had a fairly standard "strat" style body and the headstock was mild. Hardware is pretty middle-of the road as are the pups (Duncan Designed). But, all that can be upgraded if desired. Fit/finish on the guitar is pretty decent and the neck is nice - frets are all done quite nicely...didn't require any filing/leveling. Neck is beefier than expected, but nicely shaped. Pretty decent middle-of-the-road guitars....

I have one too, really like the guitar. First guitar I ever bought that I didn't feel obligated to replace the pickups as soon as I got home from the music store! Fast neck, pretty finish and very well built. I like 'em. My wife has a Schecter bass that she really likes too. Todd
