Ok, so i bought one today, but its on layaway and won't get it until wednesday....i played it through a 70's twin reverb and it was smokin! But would it sound great through a Z? I'm sure, but anyone have any feedback on that? I plan on playing nothing but jazz and r&b on it and I plan to use a little distortion, will it feed back? Ill be using the BB preamp. I bought the guitar for $1075, thats a steal considering new its about $2000. It looks brand new too. Anyway, anyone got anything to say about that?

I used to play an ASAT Classic through a Maz38...its a good rig. Now, if you play loud enough or stand close enough to your amp those ASAT Classic pickups would squeal at times...most often when playing with a distortion pedal engaged. Once I stopped using a compressor, the undesirable feedback got better but those pickups do have some microphonic tendencies. Now, IIRC the Bluesboy has a neck humbucker so I bet that pickup isnt going to squeal but that bridge pickup might.

Well, I can help you a little. I have a S/H Bluesboy, no f-hole and I LOVE it through my Maz Jr 18. As a matter of fact THAT guitar is why I have a Maz. When I went to pick the guitar up (it was custom spec'd) the dealer plugged me into a Maz Jr. I have never been so blown away by a guitar/amp combo. These two were made for each other. I ordered my own Z about a month later. I could not get the tone out of my mind. The middle position through the Maz Jr gives the most detailed, chimey, edge of breakup tone you ever heard; truly world class tone. Of course the bridge alone will twang just fine. The neck alone is a tad dark, but in a good way. The Seth really works well with the 25.5" scale which surprised me. I haven't had feedback problems with my Maz, but I did have issues with my Bogner XTC using high gain. I think you will be thrilled with this combo. Please report on your experience.

+1 on the combination. I have the same rig as you (see my sig below) and the Bluesboy sounds great through the Maz...and not to get you GASsing, but even greater through the Carmen Ghia with an Alnico Blue. I often jam locally through SF super reverbs (house amps) and the bridge pup will squeal when I use the BB Preamp and stand close. Thinking of wax potting it, actually. Still working on the right settings for that application. But through any amp clean, and especially with a Z, it's just a great sounding guitar. Good price, too. Congrats!
