I went to a local Nash dealer to check out a couple S-57's that he has and they are nice. The first was a sunburst and beat to poop w/Lollar pickups. It was kinda heavy, but it had a really full sound. It was a lot bigger sounding than most strats I have played. The next was a sonic blue number. It had fat 50's pups and was lighter. This was the one I would love to have. The sound of it was hollower and woodier to me. The color is perfect too. The one that surprised me was a 57 tele that had some kind of lollars in it. It was lake placid blue and the way it pushed the amp so much harder than the strats was cool. Great bridge pickup. The neck was like half of a baseball bat. For the record I am not even a tele guy, but dang it was nice. Now the question is where can I hide one from my wife?

I played a Nash once and it's still haunting me. Very cool guitars at a very nice price. Jason

I love the Nash guitars. I've got one of his T-57 models with Lollar pickups and it's by far the best Tele style guitar I've played. The Lollar's he uses are very nice as well.

Nash sure makes some scary-good guitars. the whole vibe is just somethin' else as for hiding a guitar? again, I gotta say make sure it matches the color in one of your rooms ... it'll blend in better

Man, I feel sorry for the people with paisley pattern guitars. That makes for a cool looking instrument...not so cool on the wall though. Just my opinion.

Those Paisley Teles would not sell when they were new. The now defunct Quigley's Music had one for a couple of years before one of the guys of Brewer & Shipley bought it. They were a regional folk act that had some national recognition for One Toke Over The Line and Tarkio Road. At the time they were either considered hippy love child or 'gay' guitars. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) Most guys played Gibsons then because of the hotter pickups.

Oh I agree, nothing wrong with the paisley guitars at all. I was actually debating between getting one of Nash's relic Strats or one of Bill Crook's paisley strats for my next guitar. It was a difficult decision, but since I already had the Nash Tele, I thought I would do something a little different this time and wound up ordering a Crook Strat in surf green paisley finish. I should be getting it within a couple months or so. Can't wait to try it out on some Z's.

Pink was an odd color choice for those paisley guitars. Crook makes some really sweet color combos on their paisleys, and the metallic finishes are cool too!

When they came out originally in 1968-69 they were going for that psychadelic rip thing. When I first saw them years ago I thought they were the ugliest things and couldn't understand why anyone woould want one but they really grew on me and I think those and the blue flower power ones (originals) are a really cool thing and really different. Still I'd take a a nice old black guard with those awesome flat pole early tele pickups over one any day! Beat to the ****,it don't matter, those things, I believe are one of the best electrics ever produced!!! NASH does some awesome relics of those babies.
