I've seen the Dean Parks gear video several times. It seems obvious to me that the time based effects that he has on all the time is post amp. Does anyone know his set up viz a viz "load" on the amp and the reamping (probably through his desk, I suppose); I don't think it is simply miced up. It look like a Dr.Z attenuater on top of the amp but that doesn't include a load setting or lin out, correct?
Thanks, Pete.

I don't think the Z break has a line out -also, I don't think that is a Zbreak on top of the amp. A THD Hotplate has a line out . What about the sound makes you think that the effects are post amp? - I saw the videos again and it's hard to tell with the long cables he's using where exactly they are coming or going. If I were to guess, I would say that the effects you hear are added after the mic - for the purposes of the recording. But - who am I and what the heck do I know? JMO

Definitely post amp. Perhaps the speaker was actually not in the same room.

That's what I thought too, in hindsight. I know Matte Henderson, for example, keeps a 4x12 miced up in a closet down the hall from the room.
Thanks, Pete.
