Anybody using any P90 guitars thru Route 66 on a regular basis - e.g. SG Special, LP Special, PRS McCarty Soapbar ... etc. etc. etc Just curious - not that I'm lookin' at any P90 guitars or a Route 66, to use with a Z 112 and Z 210 cab ..... just gathering information/opinions before I let g.a.s. or o.c.d. kick-in before the Christmas rush starts .... Any thoughts/input etc. etc. etc. ? cheers always, Joel

Sounds like a sweet combination to me. The Route likes any guitar you play through it.

Hey Joel, do a youtube search for "leftylang rt 66", there's a couple he did using p90's. I thought this one was really great sounding - both a Rt 66 and Delta 88. If that's how Lollar p90's always sound - no wonder they have such a great reputation:

Here I am Roscoe...sorry for the late response.... P90's thru a RT66 is a KILLER combo, you cannot go wrong. All the tone you need with great bite and sustain. I have a 54' Historic LP Goldtop (purchased it from Roscoe himself). The RT66 just absorbs those P90's like a sponge (that's a good thing). I had a Z best cab but had to sell it due to a bad back (it's a HEAVY cab). I ended up with a Mathers 1 x12 (Celestian Gold) and it's exactly what I am looking for. So to answer your questions P90's + RT66 = Tone Heaven. Actually RT66 (with a Z Air Break is great with ANY guitar. Hope that helps...Happy Holidays!
