Route 66 ... definitely worth the trip From clean to mean ... and all kindsa tones in-between ... Tweed? JTM? Dr Z? Yes Compared and contrasted to the KT-45? Deliciously different and equally fun ... if not more ..... imhoTry it. You'll like. You'll want some more of it. cheers always, Joel

Hey Jamie, I have one and live in Paintsville, Ky. Perhaps we could figure out a way to connect so you could try it out. I'll be in Lexington a couple times in the next few weeks, perhaps that might work... Otherwise, it is a three hour drive...
Many describe the 66 as JTM 45/ Bluesbreaker. Clapton's tone on the Beano album... I run a delay with mine sometimes. Plays well with pedals and reverb too. Smooth, rich, thick distortion. The KT is brighter and more cleaner. John

If you want more of a tweed tone, you can sub out the KT66 with 6L6's too. I love this amp though the way it is!

DC here! The Route66 is an awesome amp - you can get anything from fat clean country & jazz to classic 70:ies rock & blues tones from it. Listen to my clips here done in the our rehearsal studio: mbsb.psy.umu.se/clips/clips.htmlCheers: Dixiechicken!

Thanks for all the feedback, I got side tracked a bit.... I bought a Remedy ;D It does the Free thing Killer No pedals required However Thers's nothing like the sound of a 6L6 or KT66's they are so warm, The 66 is on my want list. I love the sound of the Z Wreck I just can't justify the $$$ for my Talent LMAOOO! When I get as good as Joel, DRZPLAYER, Roknfnrol, Mr Paisley I may get one. But I think the 66 is affordable and sounds amazing!
