First off ... the amp sounds great. It had such an aggressive bite to it, while maintaining great articulation. It's really been amazing to play so far.
One thing is irking me though. It looks like one of the transformers is bent. Its the larger of the 2 transformers and its the one that's furthest to the front. It's sitting on an angle compared to the other transformer, but it looks like the feet are screwed securely to the chasis. Also, the V1 pre-amp tube socket looks like its elevated. It doesn't feel too loose, but it's higher up than the V2 pre-amp socket. Is these things normal?

Sounds like it may have been dropped. If it doesn't affect sound no big deal. If it's bothering you call or send note to Brett, Don, or Doc to make sure it is ok. You can send it back for check up/tune up. I'm sure it will be reasonable.

Yea I'm hoping nothing got messed up on the inside. I've been thinking it sounds great so far. I never realized an amp can sound so smooth. It's also got a lot of bite with power chords, its pretty awesome. Do you guys ever notice popping coming from inside the chasis when its powering off? And how loud is your KT-45 when its running with no volume. Mine's not as loud as my old 18 watt clone, but it's definitely not whisper quiet either.

Just tried the KT-45 with a timmy V2. It was absolutely gorgeous. It gets the KT to give you the goods at a volume that was similar to my Marshall 18W clone. I can't recommend that combo enough.

Congrats mmastaj on the new KT and welcome. Let's see some pics of your beauty... The KT is going to be my next amp. Eric
