Some useful info I just learned. I have a Bad Bob booster, it's an ok booster but it always popped loud when I turned it on or off. I decided today to try to find the problem and a solution. What I learned is this. The LED is often the culprit. The current draw on some LED's is big and there is a rush going to it when it's turned on. The answer came from Jack Orman and I'll add the link to his "fix" and it works. I did it and now the Bad Bob is no longer the Bad Pop. There is another method I will try though that uses an ultra bright LED and a big resistor to get the same brightness at a much lower current draw and thus making the pop go away. Another benefit from this method is longer battery life. www.muzique.com/lab/led.htm

I had a BB, no pop. Glad the fix worked for you. The question I have is, has it always popped? If not it could be the switch.

or you can use a couple of pull down resistors. another way (to reduce popping) is to do a different way of wiring up true bypass so that the output of the circuit is grounded when in bypass.

It is wired to ground when bypassed. I remember it popping ever since I got it. For me the mod helps a bunch.

I have a Mosferatu that does that. It tends to go away after the pedal has been on for a few minutes. I tried a resistor and a switch change, which helped a little, but it still does it now and again.

My delay pops, but if you step it on/off few times before playin' it stops... Also my looper, even if light's circuits are separated by channel's pots.
